P\u00e4ikeseloide (p\u00e4ikeseosakeste v\u00e4ljapurse kosmosesse) mis leidis aset kolmap\u00e4eval 7.03.12, oli \u00fcks viimaste aastate tugevamaid. Kuna 5.03.12 ja 7.03.12 p\u00e4ikeseloited olid suunatud Maa poole, siis tabades paari p\u00e4eva p\u00e4rast Maa magnetosf\u00e4\u00e4ri, tekitasidki need magnettormid.<\/p>\n<p>Magnettorm sai alguse kolmap\u00e4eva (7.03.12) p\u00e4rastl\u00f5unal, olles k\u00f5ikuva intensiivsusega saavutanud tugevaima staadiumi reede\u00a0 \u00f5htupoolikuks. Reedene magnetv\u00e4ljaline k\u00f5ikumine meie \u00fcmber on ligi 700 nanoTeslat. V\u00f5rdluseks, tavaline \u00f6\u00f6p\u00e4evane k\u00f5ikumine Maa magnetv\u00e4ljas on 40 nanoTeslat. Kergeks magnettormiks klassifitseerub k\u00f5ikumine juba 200 nanoTeslat.<\/p>\n<p>Laup\u00e4eva l\u00f5unaks oli magnettorm taandunud ning Maa magnetv\u00e4li rahunenud. J\u00e4rgmist magnettormi ennustatakse juba laup\u00e4eva (10.03.12) hilis\u00f5htuks v\u00f5i p\u00fchap\u00e4eva hommikuks, mil Maad peaks tabama uus p\u00e4ikeseloite osakeste voog. See torm ennustatavlt siiski nii tugev ei tule kui reedel toimunud tugev magnettorm.<\/p>\n<p>Magnetv\u00e4lja k\u00f5ikumiste juures j\u00e4lgitakse nii k\u00f5ikumise ulatust kui ka selle \u00e4kilisust. Mida \u00e4kilisemalt muutub magnetv\u00e4li, seda suuremat m\u00f5ju arvatakse sel tervisele olevat. Uurimuste j\u00e4rgi on\u00a0kognitiivsed protsessid (ajutegevus) m\u00f5jutatud umbes kolmandikul inimestest.<\/p>\n<p>Tugevad magnettormid, nagu reedel 9.03.12, v\u00f5ivad indutseerida ka voole elektriv\u00f5rgus ning sellega p\u00f5hjustada vooluk\u00f5ikumisi, peamiselt k\u00f5rgematel laiuskraadidel. Samuti on k\u00f5rgematel laiuskraadidel h\u00e4iritud raadioside ning n\u00e4ha on virmalisi.<\/p>\n<p>Magnettorme on oodata l\u00e4hiaastal veelgi enam, sest P\u00e4ike on j\u00f5udmas oma 11-aastase ts\u00fckli haripunkti aasta 2013 keskel. Viimane P\u00e4ikese aktiivsuse haripunkt oli aastal 2002 ning viimati &#8220;ergutas&#8221; P\u00e4ike Maad aktiivsemalt magnettormidega 2006.aastal.
